DEPRESSION THERAPY

The experience of Depression can impact the way that we feel about ourselves and the world around us. Have you ever had a sense that life was just not worth living? If so, how did you come to have this way of seeing life and the world? How have your thoughts evolved over time? Have you had Disappointments? Failures? Setbacks? Losses? Traumas? When we experience depression, we may not recognize ways our thinking and our behaviors have changed over time. Depressed mood may be chronic over a long period of time. When depression is at its worst, we may have even considered ending our life-or had a thought that life is no longer worth living. *

For some types of depression, the combination of medications and counseling have been found to be the most effective. Taking the first step to set an appointment with either a Psychiatrist or a Counselor may be your next best step. If you choose to see a Counselor as your first step, your Counselor will provide you with a recommendation to see a Psychiatrist, as needed. The Mentoring and Counseling Center provides Counseling services to assist you as you take the first steps in finding relief from the symptoms of depression.
