About Me

Teresa Kline, Mental Health Professional
At the age of 35, I enrolled in college for the first time after experiencing significant emotional healing on November 13, 1989. Before that day, I had not fully recognized how unresolved family experiences had impacted my heart, soul, and relationships. That healing experience led me to seek training to assist others who may feel emotionally stuck.
In the fall of 1990, I began my college journey. Over the next ten years, I studied the academics of counseling while also gaining valuable life lessons and insights. After completing my formal education in 2000, I had many opportunities to work in the mental health field. Since 2011, I have had the privilege of being in private practice in Waxahachie, and I currently practice in Magnolia, Texas.
As a teenager, I identified with Freudian perspectives on human behavior. However, by the time I completed my university studies, my understanding had expanded significantly. In private practice today, my primary approach as a counselor is to connect with and understand each client’s unique story and personality with compassion. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral insights with Solution-Focused techniques and best practices, tailoring each session to fit the client's individual needs.
In grief counseling, I focus on providing a compassionate space where healing unfolds naturally. For clients who choose to continue beyond the initial sessions, I incorporate mentoring and life coaching concepts to support long-term growth. Additionally, I am a Board-Certified Christian Life Coach.
